Elf Yourself With This Full-Body Christmas Movie Workout!
Christmas festivities are in full swing, which probably means you’ve skipped a few workouts. Between last minute shopping, visiting family and catching up with friends, it can be hard to make time! Thankfully, there is still a way to squeeze in some exercise and continue all your Christmas-ing. All you need is the movie “Elf,” plus some open space to move around, and you are good to go. I hope you are ready for the most festive full-body workout you’ll do all Christmas!
When you hear “Buddy” or “elf” … Do 5 squats.
When anyone mentions “the North Pole” … Do 10 forward lunges on each leg.
When Buddy sings or eats sweets… Do 20 calf raises.
When someone mentions the “naughty or nice list” … Do 10 Russian twists.
When Buddy confronts the fake Santa… Plank for 20-30 seconds or for however long you can.
When anyone says “Santa” or “Santa’s workshop” … Do 5 burpees.
When you hear “Christmas cheer” … Do 10 mountain climbers.
When someone mentions “Santa’s sleigh” or “reindeer” … Do 5 sit-ups.
When Buddy says “cotton-headed ninny muggins” … Do 10 push-ups.
This workout is a win-win. You can finally break a sweat and still enjoy your Christmas movie marathon!
Don't forget that the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center is open from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Dec. 27-30 and is closed on Dec. 31 for New Year's.
