Why not do something crazy?! Not the kind of crazy that ends in a brush with the law, but the kind that exposes you to a new culture—a new country!

Studying abroad is a popular academic choice around campus. Many of my friends have chosen to leave for a month or two for the wonders of Spain and Italy.  Having considered taking this leap into adventure myself, one of my biggest concerns is the language barrier. It would be nice if I could speak a little of the local language. At least something like, “Where is the closest restroom?” or “What’s the Wi-Fi password?”

Luckily, there is a little known gem hidden on Auburn’s campus—the Foreign Language Multimedia Center coordinated by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures. This language lab, located in Haley 3244, offers a networked version of Rosetta Stone language software to Auburn students and employees. Basically, it's free access to new languages!  Interested? Just request an account and go to the facility to use the software.
