Dress for Success

Change your attitude, boost your confidence, and stand out in a crowd.

I believe that every single day is a special occasion. Each day is full of possibilities and unknowns.

This belief stems from the relationship I’ve created and maintained with myself. A relationship in which I value myself enough to not just feed and exercise my physical body, but also to develop a true mental fortitude. This allows me to wake up most days feeling refreshed and genuinely happy.

For you, I believe that your most important relationship is with yourself. There is no one else you will be stuck with for your entire life, so why not make the best of it? One way to foster a positive relationship with yourself is through self-care.

One of my favorite YouTubers, Mimi Ikkon, created a video a few years ago explaining her self-care strategy. For Mimi, the effort she puts into her daily beauty routine directly correlates with her attitude toward herself and her surroundings. Watch her video here, and see if you can relate to her philosophy.

While there is no doubt that we are all beautiful in our own special way, putting some extra “oomph” into your daily routine can seriously boost your confidence and encourage you to be your best self. Here are three reasons why you should dress your best.

You’ll Boost Your Confidence

Research suggests that when you put extra effort into your routine and feel that you look good, you will have more confidence and a more positive outlook on life. This means you will be more open to opportunities — and maybe talk to that cutie you’ve been eyeing for the past month!

You’ll Stand Out in the Crowd

Confidence doesn’t go unnoticed. If you feel great, others will take note. Happiness (like a smile) is infectious, so spread it around!

Treat Yo Self

You deserve it. You really do. Show yourself some love by investing time and energy into your routine. Who doesn’t love a little pampering now and again?
