5 Good Book Series to Dive Into

I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for the next book series to “disappear” into.

If you feel like you’re in a “good book drought,” here are some great series you can check out and hopefully fall in love with!

books

Warm Bodies Series

What do you get when you mix “The Walking Dead” and “Romeo and Juliet”? Well… you get the Warm Bodies series! The plot follows a zombie named R who is trying to find love in the post-apocalyptic world. I got into these books after I saw the first movie, and wow, these books are incredible. I didn’t know an undead zombie would teach me so much about how to live. The four books in the series range between 170 and 512 pages. They’re poetic, romantic, and action packed!

The Charlotte Holmes Series

I started reading these books in high school and loved them so much that I got a signed first edition of the last book in the series (humble brag). The books are a modern take on the Detective Sherlock Holmes novels, where Sherlock’s great-great-great-granddaughter teams up with Dr. Watson’s great-great-great-grandson. There are four books in the series ranging between 320 to 384 pages, so if you’re a quick reader you’ll move through these in no time. If you love mystery, romance, and witty banter, then I strongly suggest you give it a shot.

The Unwind Dystology Series

I read the first book in this series in middle school and have continued to keep up with the new ones. These books are awesome! The plot is about what the future would look like if we made significant advances in medical technology – specifically in the area of organ transplants. The series is full of action, suspense, and eeriness and will have you thinking about what you just read for days. There are four books in the main series (all around 400 pages) and two short stories, so there is plenty of material to keep you entertained!

The Reckoners Series

If you’re like me, then you’re into anything superhero-related, and you’ll love these books. The series is about a world where superheroes exist, but they are all evil, and a group of regular people team up to take them down. All three books in the series are around 400 pages, and there is a short story to read too. Also, this has one of the best endings in any book series. Whether you’re team Marvel or team DC, you’ll love this series.

The World of Lore Series

I love anything about true crime or unsolved mysteries. If you fancy yourself an amateur detective as well, then you need to read the World of Lore books. There are three books, all a little over 300 pages, and each has its own topic ranging from the most wicked people to have ever walked the earth, to some of the most dreadfully spooky places to visit.

I hope one of these series sounded mildly interesting, because I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them for years. I think you will too. Happy reading, and…

Be well, Auburn.
