Anyone But You

This recently released rom-com opens with a fascinating meet-cute between Bea and Ben. Watch how miscommunication turns their previously intense connection into a frosty hatred for one another. Reunited at a picture-perfect Australian wedding, they play pretend as a couple.  Although only “pretending” to be a couple, some genuine emotions begin to surface. This film was captivating, to the extent that I've seen it twice already and plan on seeing it again!  Head to your local theatre to see the most popular rom-com out now.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

This classic 2000s rom-com is a movie everyone should watch at some point. Benjamin Barry, an advertising executive, finds himself in fierce competition with two female colleagues for a crucial campaign from a diamond merchant. He strikes a deal with his rivals that the account will be his if he can make a woman of their choosing fall in love with him in ten days. In comes Andie Anderson, who has been tasked to write a story about how to lose a guy in ten days as part of a wager with her boss to the cover story. With both parties hiding behind their plans, the issue of who will be able to complete their task first remains. Be prepared to have the extremely catchy song “You’re So Vain” on repeat in your head after watching this movie.

10 Things I Hate About You

This classic from the late 90s stands out for being an interpretation of William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew." Upon his arrival at the new school, Cameron is immediately smitten with Bianca, his dream girl. The catch? Bianca is off-limits for dating until her fiercely ill-tempered and seemingly undateable older sister, Kat, also finds a suitor. In a bid to navigate this challenge, Cameron finds the only individual who might stand a chance with Kat: the bad boy, played by Heath Ledger, with a notorious reputation of his own!

The Proposal

Make sure to check out "The Proposal" if you're a fan of the dynamic duo, starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. Faced with the threat of being deported back to Canada, Margaret Tate, a high-powered book editor claims to be engaged to her assistant, Andrew. Andrew goes along with it but makes sure to set a few conditions of his own, one being a trip to Alaska to meet his interesting family. Throughout their trip a suspicious immigration official seems to always have eyes on them, forcing the two to keep up the engagement act. This movie holds a special place in my heart!

27 Dresses

“27 Dresses” perfectly illustrates the classic case of always the bridesmaid, but never the bride. Jane consistently prioritizes other people’s needs over her own, making her the go-to person whenever anyone asks about wedding planning. However, when Jane’s younger sister Tess wins the heart of the guy Jane secretly has feelings for, Jane starts to question her identity as a wedding enthusiast for the first time. Meanwhile, a charming reporter takes Jane’s unique story as his opportunity to move beyond the bridal beat.
