About the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches
The event benefits the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches, a 501(c)(3) charity founded in 1966 by the Sheriffs of Alabama to provide a safe environment for boys who were in crisis situations. Since then, it has expanded to four locations throughout the state, including the girls ranch in Tallapoosa County. These ranches provide long-term, loving homes for the young people who live there. The ranches depend on funds donated by individuals and companies as well as fundraising events throughout the year. More information about the ALSYR can be found online at https://www.alabamasheriffsyouthranches.org/about .
