Take the "Explore More" Challenge with Auburn Outdoors
If you’re not sure where to take your next adventure (or if you haven’t hiked before), consider taking part in Auburn Outdoors’ "Explore More" challenge.
The program helps students blaze their own trail. Instead of going on a pre-set trip with a host of other students, you can explore on your own time. Simply grab some friends and go!
This semester, the Auburn Outdoors staff has selected two impressive destinations: North Alabama’s Walls of Jericho and Max Patch, located in North Carolina. They’ve carefully prepared information packets to help you along the way, including an overview of the hike, regional maps, packing lists and food suggestions. For more info about this semester’s trips, simply attend the info meeting from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 in Auburn Outdoors!
The best part about the program? Submit a photo of you on either of the two sponsored hikes to auburnoutdoors@auburn.edu and receive a free t-shirt!

When she is not in class you can find her glued to her planner scheduling every moment of her week, watching Fixer Upper marathons on HGTV, or wandering through the aisles of local antique shops.
