Embark on Your Auburn Adventure with War Eagle Wilderness

Hey, incoming Auburn freshmen! Ready to kick off your college journey with a little adventure? Say hello to War Eagle Wilderness, a series of epic outdoor trips designed just for YOU! Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or brand new to the outdoors, these trips are the perfect way to make friends, explore new places, and create unforgettable memories before classes even begin.

What’s War Eagle Wilderness All About?
We’ve got four exciting trips lined up — and you can pick the one that calls to your inner explorer:

  • Paddle the Cahaba River on a scenic canoe trip.

  • Backpack the Pine Mountain Trail and camp beneath the stars.

  • Raft the Ocoee River, one of the best whitewater runs in the Southeast.

  • Zipline at Banning Mills, home to the world’s longest canopy tour.

How to Register:
Because these trips are super popular, we use a lottery system to give everyone a fair shot. Here's how it works:

  1. Sign up by filling out the form on our website by May 4. Lottery closes May 4 at 11:59 p.m. Don’t miss the deadline!

  2. If you're selected, you’ll receive a link to pay and secure your spot.

  3. If you aren’t selected, no worries! We’ll still invite you to join us for future Auburn Outdoors adventures in the fall.

Important Details:

  • If you change your mind after signing up, you must cancel by May 18th at 11:59 PM by emailing auburnoutdoors@auburn.edu. If you don’t cancel before the deadline, a $100 charge will be added to your first-semester e-bill.
