How To Score the Best Deals in Auburn
If there’s one thing that all college students can agree on, it’s that we can never pass up a good deal.
If you’re anything like me, you probably look for a coupon for just about everything. It can be tough to find reliable and useful coupons, so I thought I’d share my tricks to saving in Auburn. With deals this good, all of our moms are going to have coupon envy!
Hooked Deals
Wake up, brush your teeth, and check the Hooked Deals app. Hooked Deals is the best ways to score flash sales at local restaurants like Which Wich, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, TCBY, University Donut Company, and more. With their coupons, you can snag a BOGO offer, free drinks, meal upgrades, and discounted menu items.
Campus Cash
If you’re a coupon lover, it’s time to make a trip over to the bookstore. Every semester, they give out free Campus Cash coupon books, and they’re the perfect way to save on everything in Auburn! The books contain a wide variety of deals for retailers, restaurants, and service providers in Auburn. It even includes a few coupons for clothes in the bookstore. Who doesn’t need another trusty Auburn T-shirt? If you’re a student on-the-go, there’s also a Campus Cash app, and it helps to save you even more.
Groupon
Looking for fun activities to do off-campus, but not trying to spend an arm and a leg? Groupon is about to be your best friend. Head to their website, where you’ll find endless deals on bowling, movies, and other fun activities to do with your friends. Need a little TLC after a long week of class? They’ve got coupons for local nail salons and spas. Groupon can also save you a ton on auto repairs and almost any home service. Maybe a tree fell on top of your apartment? Yep, there’s probably a coupon for that.
Social Media
This one may require a bit more work on your end, but I promise it’s a lifesaver. If you love to shop locally, be sure to follow all of your favorite small businesses on social media. If you’re an avid IG scroller like myself, you’ll likely find a lot of promotions or giveaways on their Instagram pages throughout the year. Many times, local businesses will promote giveaways on their stories, so don’t forget to check those as well.
Thrifting
For all the shopaholics who are ballin’ on a budget (a.k.a. me), Auburn has some awesome thrift stores just a few miles from campus. Mission Thrift Store, Goodwill, Harvest Thrift Store, and The Salvation Army are a few of my favorites. Stop by to dig for game day outfit gems or accessories for your next themed event.
Donating is also a great way to create extra space in your dorm or apartment. Don’t forget to keep these stores in mind during your next closet clean-out.
Group Fitness
Looking to get your fitness on, but need that extra push? The Rec offers over 120 Group Fit classes per week, so something is bound to fit your goals and schedule. Luckily for us students, we get the best deal — unlimited classes for just $50/semester. If you’re a bit unsure how you’ll like Group Fitness, you can purchase a monthly pass for $25. The Rec also offers free classes each month, an easy and free way to test the waters. Check out what’s free this month here.
Congrats — you now have all of the tools to become the most frugal student on Auburn’s campus!
Happy saving!
Be well, Auburn.

Originally from Nashville, Jordan came down to Auburn to enjoy the beauty of The Plains and to learn the true meaning of War Eagle (which she still does not know). She’s currently a sophomore studying spanish international trade, and has passions ranging from marketing to health and fashion.
Jordan enjoys weightlifting, a good podcast, and will never turn down a hike with her friends. Her favorite way to start the day is with a workout, nutritious breakfast, and cup of iced coffee. She loves living a fast-paced life, and hopes to reside in a big city after her time at Auburn (dogs included). She’s eager for the future, but for now, is enjoying living in the moment.
