Accused: September 22, 2023
Accused, coming out on September 22, 2023, is an entertaining thriller built on the destructive tendencies of social media, and what happens when an innocent man is hunted down. Harri, a man living his “perfect” life with his caring family and wonderful job, learns the hard way when his online presence turns from harmless comments to a life-changing event. He was wrongly accused and wrongly perpetrated, as the movie combines elements of home invasion, survival instincts, and social relevance.

Produced by the Blair Witch Project and inspired by a short film back in 2016, The Jester follows two estranged sisters after the death of their father. With a terrifying twist of fate, “The Jester” reveals himself to be an evil entity and begins to further torment the inhabitants of this small town on Halloween night. Watch it in theaters on September 29, 2023 to find out how the sisters plan to defeat the tormentor of their town.
Totally Killer: October 6, 2023
This film follows Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) whose mom, (Julie Bowen) was a survivor of the Sweet Sixteen Killer, a serial killer in the 80s who had a penchant for dead teenage girls. Jamie ends up traveling back in time, to 1987, and teams up with the teenage version of Pam, her mother, to put an end to the killer’s reign. Produced by Blumhouse, the film takes you on a time-traveling, hair-raising adventure, mixing in the past and present for a different take on the slasher genre. Exorcist: Believe: October 6, 2023
This film is ranked at the top of the spooky scale, with demonic encounters and appearances. The Exorcist sequel begins where the original film left off— nearly five decades after a 12-year-old girl is possessed by a demonic individual, forcing her mother to seek aid in the form of two priests willing to save her daughter.
The trailer depicts two young girls lost in the woods, with their return being less than idyllic. The cast is a mix of returners from the original and newbies, alluding to characters past and present. If you are a die-hard Exorcist fan, I’m sure this is already on your to-watch list. So, don’t forget to bring blankets to protect yourself and snacks for a good scare on October 6, 2023.
Whether you're a die-hard horror fan or just looking for a fright, these upcoming spooky movies are sure to make you shiver. Grab your popcorn, dim the lights, and get ready for a cinematic journey this fall.
Be Well, Auburn.
Born and raised in Roswell, GA, Grace grew up with a UGA Bulldawg and an FSU Seminole as parents. Clearly, it caused quite a shock when she decided on Auburn. Almost four years later, neither parent will commit to Auburn orange, but they have gotten on board with the decision, considering how happy their daughter is at her school. Now a senior, Grace is studying Communications and Marketing, with a minor in Journalism, and is hoping to make her way into the Marketing world, ideally in the music industry.
When she is not involved in extracurriculars, work, or school, Grace can be found thrifting, searching for new vinyl shops, working out, or enjoying a great book. Her favorite things include her dogs, live music, sushi, and a great fall day. For her last year at Auburn, Grace has hopes for incredible moments of laughter and learning, with old friends and new ones, as she soaks in every possible moment that makes Auburn home.
