Spring Semester Bucket List

Spring Semester Bucket List

Spring is the perfect time to enjoy all Auburn has to offer. Here are some must-dos before the semester ends!

Host a Dinner Party!

Hosting dinner parties has been one of my absolute favorite activities this semester, and it’s never too late to start! My friends and I have started having weekly dinner parties, where we all cook together, eat, then watch a movie or episodes of our favorite shows. This is such a great way to spend quality time with friends during the busy days of college. It can be as simple or elaborate as you want, but it is such a fun time with the right company! Try it before the semester is over and you split up for summer.

Go to a Baseball Game

The epitome of spring: Baseball season!! All Auburn Baseball games are FREE to students and always a good time! Plainsman Park has recently been renovated and expanded so this season should be extra special. Make sure to check this off your list before the semester ends. Study On Top of Harbert

Take advantage of the gorgeous spring season by studying outside! Did you know the roof of Harbert Business College has great views, plenty of study space, and is open to all students (not just business majors)?  Check it out to make your studying a little more tolerable these next couple of months.

Roll Toomers

Baseball and basketball will give plenty of opportunities to get a roll in before the semester ends! You can’t leave for summer without rolling at least once, so get out there and show your support.

Walt’s on the Roof

Walt’s on the Roof is a restaurant located on the roof of the Culinary Arts Center right next to Samford. This is my favorite spot come spring. They have delicious food and even better views of Auburn. At night they provide blankets and light little fires to keep you cozy.

Stroll Auburn’s Campus/Color Walk

Auburn is always beautiful, but especially in the springtime! Walk around campus and take in all the flower-filled views. There are some beautiful beds behind Samford with tulips, pansies, and more. Another fun way to enhance your walk around campus is trying a “color walk”. Choose a color and pick out all the things you see with that color.

Have a Picnic on Samford

Picnicking is the best springtime activity, and Samford is just the spot for it! Pick up something from Hey Day, bring a blanket, and enjoy a long picnic lunch on Samford Lawn. This is such a fun way to de-stress from class and feel connected to Auburn. You’ll miss these moments over the summer when you can’t see Samford every day!

I hope you enjoy the last moments of spring semester before they’re gone!

Be Well, Auburn.

Crystal is a junior majoring in marketing and double minoring in Italian and sales. She spent her freshman year of college at Baylor University (Sic ‘em) before transferring to Auburn where she found her home!

Born and raised in Montana, Crystal’s passion for the outdoors started at a young age. You can often find her hiking, floating in the river, or just sitting in the sun. When she’s not out enjoying nature, Crystal loves to read, travel anywhere new, listen to the oldies, and spend quality time with family and friends. After graduation, she aspires to travel as much as possible, pursue a career in real estate or social media marketing, and eventually find her way back to the Rockies.
