The Study App you need based on the kind of Student you are.

As college students, it can get hard to manage all of the different elements of your day-to-day, while trying to stay 100% in everything you do.

Here are some helpful apps you can use to work smarter, not harder in the upcoming study season!

For the Social Butterfly

Opal

For anyone who is easily distracted and has difficulty focusing on their assignments because they're getting lost scrolling on their socials… Opal is the perfect app to try! It is an app blocker that helps reduce screen time and allows students to prioritize their work while keeping them accountable! I started using this not only for my allotted study time but also throughout my work week and it has helped reduce my stress and get a better sleep schedule.

Pomodoro

Inspired by the well-known Pomodoro studying technique, coined, and created in the 1980s by Francesco Cirillo. It is a system where a student will study in 25-minute time slots with 5-minute breaks in between. The app allows students to track their progress and get work done efficiently while also letting student customize their timer and giving them the option of white noise.

For the student who doesn’t know where to start

Quizlet

If you’re someone who has trouble figuring out how to study or where to even begin, Quizlet is perfect for you! In the app, you can make digital flashcards based on what you must learn and create different study activities to hone your skills! You can also look at other people’s study guides that have taken similar courses to you and use those for reference!

For the Planner

Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a staple for anyone with a super busy schedule or who has trouble remembering when everything is due. In the app, you can set reminders for specific events and due dates and create separate calendars if you want to categorize them. For example, you could have a calendar that has your academic schedule and a calendar for your extracurricular activities.
