Spring Around Campus

Though the weather this time of year can be unpredictable, spring is coming to Auburn, and what better way to celebrate than to highlight some of my favorite spring activities to enjoy around campus!
Sunset Picnic at Red Barn
One great way to enjoy the spring weather is a sunset picnic at Red Barn. This is a perfect place to set up a blanket and people watch. Either bring your own food or pick something up from one of your local favorites and enjoy the weather.
Enjoy Samford Lawn
Samford Lawn is one of, if not the, most iconic spot on campus. As warmer weather begins to roll around, head over to the lawn to enjoy a great spring day. Bring games to play like Spikeball or toss a football. If you’re hungry, find a bite downtown or grab your favorite flavor of Toomer’s lemonade and have a spontaneous picnic with a view of everyone’s favorite clock tower.
Set Up A Hammock
Just want to relax after a long day of classes? Find two trees and set up a hammock. Whether on Cater Lawn, Samford Lawn, or in your own backyard, a snack and a few hours relaxing under the cool shade of some trees is never a bad way to spend a warm afternoon.
Get Outside with the Rec
The sun is shining, and it is time to get outside! The Rec offers some great ways to enjoy the sun. Whether you rent some pickleball paddles and head out to the courts, head out to the pool and catch some rays, or grab a volleyball and start a game on the beach volleyball court, The Rec is your one-stop shop for spring fun!
Be Well, Auburn.
