Spring Clean Your Workout Routine

Tired of your winter workout routine? Stuck indoors trying to break a sweat? Warmer weather is here which means it’s time to clean up your workout routine to fit the season.

1. Get Outside

Start to exercise in the places the cold weather has kept you from. It’s time to leave your favorite jacket at home for your next activity. I love to visit Kiesel Park for a sunny walk, or even Chewacla to kayak on the lake with friends. It’s time to make your workouts fun and take full advantage of the fresh outdoor air.

2. Freshen Up Your Schedule

Another thing to clean about your workout routine is your workout schedule. With warmer temperatures in Alabama, you have to plan around the hottest parts of the day. Try writing down your schedule based on the coolest times of the day. For most of us, the coolest part of the day would be early morning or late evening.

3. Catch Up with Old Friends

Changing up your workout routine means a new opportunity to spend time with friends. Use this time to catch up with a friend you haven’t seen and move your body!
